A Graceful Transformation

How nice it would be, when in the process of becoming,
a chrysalis shell formed to hide my changing form.
No longer would I flail through life’s changes with my usual lack of grace,
I would be given a natural pause, at each, and every, point of change.
It is in stillness that healing, change, and growth happen.
It is in stillness that great transformations take place.
We humans are never still as we hammer out our existence from day to day.
To us, stillness is for the dead.
